Boat Ride Around the Harbor - Saturday February 5, 2011

I took the mast off of the sailboat, since we haven't used wind propulsion in a while.  Without all of the gear, it is a lot easier to move around the cockpit.  The little trolling motor Dad sent me is perfect for putting around the harbor.  Told the kids we were going to go to Pelican Island, aka Pirate Island, aka the breakwater sandspit.  Here are some pics:

Passing the Alan T - an oil rig crew boat.

This is the first ride in the boat that Hazel enjoyed for more than 10 minutes.

Hazel walking around.

Passing the Channel Cat, which Mandy used to work on.

Get it Noah!

Anchored at Pelican/Pirate Island

Having a promised treat on the island.

After Hazel's short turn at the helm, Noah took over.

Stoked to be steering.

Doing a great job keeping us on course.

But easily distracted.

Look ahead Captain!
